National Association of Home Builders Selects Cambridge-Based
Julie Palmer As America’s Best
CAMBRIDGE, MA [January 16, 2018] – Julie Palmer, President of Cambridge-based Charlie Allen Renovations, has been named the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers January Remodeler of the Month. Palmer was selected for her “leadership in craftsmanship, customer service, and community involvement,” and for “exemplifying the best in the remodeling industry.”
After joining Charlie Allen Renovations in 1999 as the firm’s office manager, Palmer immersed herself in all aspects of the remodeling and restoration business, from human resources, accounting, and marketing, to customer relations, product sourcing, and all of the hands-on aspects of renovating an older home for modern day living without losing well-earned period charm. She was promoted to President of Charlie Allen Renovations in 2013.
Palmer is a strong believer in the importance of education and certifications, and under her leadership all members of the Charlie Allen Renovations team have the opportunity to learn new skills and obtain certifications in everything from aging-in-place to green remodeling. She has held leadership positions with the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston and the Eastern Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
“It’s a surprise and a privilege for me to be recognized in this way,” says Palmer. “I love the work that I do, helping to make our clients’ homes work better for them. I also deeply appreciate the supportive community of remodelers and builders all across America who are represented by the National Association of Home Builders.”
The purpose of the NAHB Remodeler of the Month award program is to celebrate local, active remodelers who stand out because of recent quality work, customer service, community involvement, and dedication to furthering the industry. The winner, once selected by NAHB Remodelers, is profiled in Qualified Remodeler magazine.
